About Stara Kamienica PS Energetyka Odnawialna

The Municipality of Stara Kamienica entered into an agreement with Polski Solar Holding Sp. z o.o. to form Stara Kamienica Polski Solar Energetyka Odnawialna sp. z o.o. ("Stara Kamienica PS"), a company specializing in the production and distribution of energy from renewable sources. Stara Kamienica PS is mandated to meet the renewable energy requirements of the municipality of Stara Kamienica.

Rooftops

The goal of Stara Kamienica Polski Solar Energetyka Odnawialna Sp. z o.o. (Stara Kamienica PS) is to help achieve energy independence for the Municipality of Stara Kamienica through the installation of renewable energy projects within the community. Thanks to the cooperation of Polski Solar Holding Sp. z o.o. and the Municipality, 3 solar PV micro-installations have been installed on public buildings.


Groundmounts

The planned construction of a groundmount solar PV plants with a total combined capacity of 2.1 MW DC, to be built on currently unused land, will serve the community by providing energy to 982 households per year* from a renewable source, reduce the carbon footprint of the municipality by the equivalent of 40,184 trees annually and provide local employment opportunities for the people of Stara Kamienica.




About Gmina Stara Kamienica

Gmina Stara Kamienica is a rural municipality in Jelenia Góra County (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). Its seat is the village of Stara Kamienica, which lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) west of Jelenia Góra, and 106 kilometres (66 mi) west of Wroclaw.

The gmina covers an area of 110.46 square kilometres (42.6 sq mi) and, as of 2013, its total population is 5,328.
